How flipping works
Nothing is rotated. Unicode has no "upside down" setting, so the generator does two things: it reverses the order of letters, then swaps each one for a look-alike from another alphabet. e becomes ǝ (U+01DD, used in phonetics), a becomes ɐ (U+0250), and h becomes ɥ (U+0265, the IPA symbol for a sound in French "huit"). Symmetrical letters like o, s, x and z stay as they are.
Mirror text
Mirror mode reverses the order and uses letters that look horizontally flipped where one exists: ɘ, ƨ, Я, И. Letters with no mirrored twin stay the same, so it’s an approximation, like any mirror text you see online.
Want every style at once? The fancy text generator casts all of them from one box, and how Unicode fonts work shows what’s going on under the hood.
