Unicode has "combining" characters: accents and strokes that attach to the letter in front of them, like the ´ in é. Nothing stops you from attaching many of them, from any direction. Glitch text adds a few random strokes, tildes and overlays to each letter so it looks like a damaged signal. It’s still text, so it pastes anywhere.
Glitch or cursed?
Glitch keeps marks light and mixes in strike and overlay strokes, so the word stays readable. Cursed (Zalgo) text piles marks high above and below, and at max strength it spills over the lines around it. Use the cursed text generator when you want chaos.

Why is my glitch text longer than my word?
Each mark is its own character. A five-letter word with glitch can be 20 or more characters, which counts against bio and name limits.
Can I get the same glitch twice?
Yes. The noise is seeded from your text, so the same input always gives the same result. Change the dials or press "Reroll" for a new pattern.
