Fonts you can copy? Here’s the trick

When you paste text into Instagram, the app throws away fonts and formatting. TextForge doesn’t use fonts at all. Each style swaps your letters for other characters in the Unicode standard that happen to look bold, cursive or boxed. 𝐀 isn’t a bold A; it’s U+1D400, a separate character mathematicians use for vectors. Because the style is in the character itself, it survives the paste.

Which style to pick

  • For a bio headline: bold sans or bold script. They’re readable at small sizes and work on every current phone.
  • For a gamer tag: gothic, decorated frames like ꧁ ꧂, or light glitch. Check the display-name rules first.
  • For a joke or a spooky post: cursed text, upside down, or strikethrough.
  • For anything people need to read or search: leave it plain, or use strikethrough or underline, which keep your original letters.

Is this fancy text generator free?

Yes. All 88 styles run in your browser, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how much you convert.

Are these real fonts?

Not in the usual sense. A font file changes how letters are drawn; it can’t travel with copied text. These are different Unicode characters that look like styled letters, so they keep their look wherever you paste them.

Where can I paste fancy text?

Anywhere that accepts plain text: Instagram bios and captions, TikTok, X, Discord, WhatsApp, Facebook posts, YouTube comments, Steam and game profiles. Usernames and handles usually reject them; display names usually accept them.

Why do some styles show as boxes or question marks?

The device reading your text has no font containing that character. Bold, italic, script and small caps work on every current phone. Rarer symbols and look-alike alphabets can fail on older Android and Windows.

Is fancy text bad for accessibility?

It can be. Screen readers may read each styled letter by its full Unicode name or skip it, and search can’t match it. Use it for a word or a name, not whole paragraphs. Strikethrough and underline keep the original letters and are the most accessible options.
